Flash er ruðningshetja sem er rænt af geimskipi Dr. Zarkovs ásamt hinni fögru Dale Arden. Þau dragast inn að plánetunni Mongo, sem Ming hinn miskunnarlausi stýrir. Ming hefur verið að prófa ýmsar hamfarir á jörðinni, enda telur hann jörðina vera ógn við sína plánetu, og áætlar því að eyða jörðinni. Einnig ætlar hann að taka Dale sem hjákonu sína. Flash þarf að verjast ágangi dóttur Ming, og berjast gegn Ming til að bjarga Dale og Jörðinni.
