Plot

Tyler er efnilegasti glímukappinn í skólanum sínum en hann á sér leyndarmál. Meiðsli í öxl hafa neytt hann til þess að stela sterkum verkjalyfjum frá pabba sínum. Málin flækjast enn frekar þegar kærastan hans segir honum að hún sé ólétt. Waves fylgir eftir fjölskyldu í úthverfi í Suður-Flórída – og ástríkum en stjórnsömum föðurnum – þar sem þau takast á við ástina, fyrirgefninguna og tengjast á ný eftir óvæntan missi.
